Do you want to be a Professional Actor?

Do you have a physical or sensory impairment? Would you like to train at a mainstream drama school but don’t know about the access of different schools? Would you like to attend a course focussing on the audition technique for drama school?

If the answer to the above is YES then you may be interested in a course. Big House Theatre Company is holding interviews at The Contact Theatre, Manchester from 5th-9th August 2002 in partnership with twelve mainstream drama schools. The aim of the course is to increase the number of disabled students attending drama training by providing a week of practical workshops and information regarding the accessibility of different schools.

During the week you will be given the opportunity to study the aspects of theatre that will support you in your initial audition for drama school as well as prepare you for drama training itself. The week will include text, movement, voice and audition technique workshops held by professionals within each given field.

Accommodation and travel costs will be provided for successful applicants.

If you would like to take part please send your contact details and a brief outline of your theatrical experience to Drama Training, Big House Theatre Company, 114 Cavendish Road, West Didsbury, Manchester, M20 1QH OR e-mail us at cherylee.houston@virgin.net
