BCODP Annual General Meeting (AGM) and ConferenceThe British Council of Disabled Peoples Annual General Meeting and Conference will take place on the 12th and 13th October 2002, at the Novatel, Birmingham Centre, Broad Street, Birmingham. This years Conference is expected to be bigger and better, and we currently have confirmation that Paul Holmes, the Liberal Democrat Shadow Minister for Disabled People will be one of the keynote speakers. We are also hoping to have Maria Eagle (the Minister with the responsibility for disabled people in the present Government) as a speaker, if her diary permits. A number of motions on a wide range of issues have been put forward by BCODP member groups, and the Conference will see the formal launch of the UK Disabled Peoples Parliament. There will also be an arts event on the Saturday evening, sponsored by Birmingham City Council. Booking information will be going out within the next week. If you want to attend please let us know as soon as possible.
