Count Us In - Interim Report

Full member groups Of BCODP should have now received the interim report of the Count Us In Project.

The Count Us In Project Development Workers hope you find the Interim Report about the development of the project useful. The project, funded by the City Parochial Foundation is now coming to the end of its current 3 year period. Many Black and Minority Groups of Disabled People in London have been supported through the project, with the help of GLAD’s Development Workers. People First have been able to support groups of people with learning difficulties to Campaign for their rights and to develop self advocacy.

BCODP will be creating a resource pack which will include useful information from GLAD and PEOPLE FIRST. You will be able to contact these organisations to ask for the information that you would like to receive.

The Count Us In Development Workers agreed that this would be a more effective way of sharing information with BCODP, GLAD and People First members. It is hoped that the workers involved in the project will also be attending BCODP, GLAD and People First’s Annual General Meetings. This will give The Disabled People’s Movement the opportunity to meet the workers and discuss the project through these events.

The workers have tried to make the interim report available in different formats, including tape, picture formatted large print, floppy disc and on CD with voice over. If you find that these formats are not accessible to you, please contact Sandy or Vicki at the BCODP offices and let us know how you would like this information.
