Grant Information - European Year of Disabled People

The Minister, Maria Eagle has agreed that the UK will support the European Year with the following theme:

• Promote Rights and Participation
  

Sub-themes to support this include

• Raising Awareness
  
• Participation
  
• Advocacy/Mentoring
  

The U K Government has confirmed that it will contribute £1 million to support the European Year. The Grant Application Process starts on 24th June 2002 (you can download the Grant Introductory Leaflet, including eligibility and the Grant Application form)

Key Planning Dates

• Start of the grant application process on 24th June 2002
  
• Close of receipt of applications to be 12.00 noon 27th September 2002
  
• Decisions on the Grant Applications by 14th November 2002
  
• Delivery of the launch events by 31st January 2002 (English launch on 22nd January 2003)
  
• Production of an evaluation report to the European Commission by 30th September 2004.
