Activate Issue 52, March 2003, Audio Edition

Welcome to the audio section of Activate, the BCODP Newsletter.

From this page you can save an audio copy of the newsletter onto your computer. Once you have the file saved you will be able to play it using an MP3 player. You can choose to download the Individual Newsletter Sections of your choice, or the Complete Newsletter in one file. There is also a section to help you find out about MP3 players.

Complete Newsletter

  1. If you prefer you can download the whole newsletter from the link below. This will take approximately 40 minutes with a 56.6 kbps dial-up modem or approximately 4 minutes with a broadband (ADSL or cable) internet connection.

  2. Once this download has finished you will have a file called "BCODP - Activate Issue 52 - March 2003.exe". Highlight this file and double click it with the left mouse button to expand it into the newsletter sections, by default these will go into a new folder called "BCODP - Activate Issue 52 - March 2003".

  3. In this new folder you will find a file called "BCODP - Activate Issue 52 - March 2003.m3u" which is the playlist file. To play the newsletter open this playlist in Windows Media Player, WinAmp or other MP3 player of your choice. The playlist may not work in all MP3 players although the actual newsletter sections will still play perfectly well.

  4. You can use the MP3 player's next and previous buttons to skip to the newsletter sections you want to listen to.

Individual Newsletter Sections

  1. First, download an item from the listing below. To do this, right click on the section you'd like and select "Save Target As..." from the menu the appears.

  2. When the "Save As" window opens select or create a folder for the file, then left click on the "Save" button and the audio file will be saved onto your computer. This may take from a few seconds to a few minutes depending on your internet connection speed.

  3. Once the download is complete, start up your favourite MP3 player and open the file you have just downloaded and sit back and listen.
