Comic Relief granted UKDPC in 2002 a sum of £24000 to produce a business plan for the UK Disabled Peoples' Parliament project. A consultant was employed to do this and a professional piece of market research to find out what disabled people outside the movement think about how their views should be represented at national level, and their specific views on this project. A steering group to oversee this work - made up of members of UKDPC who understand UKDPC and the Movement, and also representatives of parts of our community who tend to be left out, and who need to be included in any genuinely inclusive Parliament.
